Juilliard trained concert pianist and Harvard trained psychiatrist Dr. Richard Kogan will give a lecture and concert that will explore the connections between the life, mind, medical illness and music of the great American composer George Gershwin (1898-1937). The presentation will emphasize the healing power of music, and will include performances of Gershwin masterpieces such as Rhapsody in Blue and Porgy and Bess.
