Hello dear readers. You may or may not know about my love for the written word. Just in case you don’t know, I have loved reading from a very young age. Anne Rice, as I’m sure you know, is a very talented author. She is commonly known for her series of books The Vampire Chronicles. The first book in the series, Interview with the Vampire, was made into a wonderful movie with a screenplay written by Anne Rice herself. I watched this movie with my dad and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a movie that the two of us still talk about all the time. After watching the movie, being the voracious reader that I am, I read the book and also enjoyed it though not as much as the movie. I think I just wasn’t mature enough at the time to truly appreciate Anne Rice’s genius. I’m sure that if I reread the book now I would enjoy it as much as–if not more than–the movie.
Anne Rice will be coming to the Madison Theatre to talk about and sign the latest addition to the series Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis. This is an experience that you won’t want to miss if you are a lover of reading, writing, and/or the Vampire Chronicles series. As a lover of the two former and almost a lover of the latter, this is an event that I would love to experience. Unfortunately, I have a class during the time of the event so you will simply have to attend for me, dear readers. Enjoy hearing about writing from a master author. It will definitely be an unforgettable experience. Now you must excuse me. I’m going to go search for my copy of Interview with the Vampire so I can reread it and then cry at the thought of having to miss the chance to meet its author. If you attend, you will definitely be smiling!
