Hello dear readers. I tend to have a lot of curiosity about my fellow human beings, especially those who have talents that I don’t. That is why I was excited at the opportunity to speak to some of the wonderful performers who will be appearing in the Madison Theatre Christmas show. One of the people I got to interview was Emily Morales. It was lovely to meet her and to find out more about her. Without further ado, let’s get into the interview.

What is your favorite thing about performing?

“I’m being most myself when I’m on stage, getting to tell stories.”

What’s your favorite role or performance you’ve done?

“Nina from In the Heights and Eponine from Les Miserables.

What inspired you to start in the theater?

“Auditioning for musicals in my high school and getting in them and working with other people and having that experience, I fell in love right away.”

What is your dream role?

“My dream role is Elphaba in Wicked.

What are you looking forward to the most about performing in the Christmas show?

“I think performing with everybody, being in the ensemble environment.”

What made you choose Molloy/CAP21?

“I think it was such an easy experience and an amazing experience. They made it so accepting and I knew I was going to learn a lot here.”

Who is your favorite actor/actress? What is your favorite movie?

“I love Emma Stone. Judy Garland is my all time favorite. My favorite movie is the Harry Potter series.”

What is your favorite Christmas song?

“‘O Holy Night.’ The Mariah Carey version.”
