“The Planets” (Op. 32) was composed by British composer Gustav Holst between 1914-1916. The seven movement suite represents each planet of the solar system.
The Massapequa Philharmonic led by Maestro David Bernard will be performing this suite on February 16 at the Madison Theatre. We will also be having Dr. Jackie Faherty, scientist and astrophysicist from the American Museum of Natural History and Hayden Planetarium give a commentary and presentation of NASA imagery.
