Hello, my dear readers. Tomorrow is Harold Arlen’s birthday. You’re asking yourself, why should this excite the staff at the Madison Theatre? Well, first of all for anyone who does not know, Harold Arlen is the composer of The Wizard of Oz and many other well crafted song from various Hollywood films with songs such as Blues in the Night, If I Only Had a Brain, Come Rain or Come Shine, It’s Only a Paper Moon, I’ve Got the World On a String, and many more. I have grown up watching the Wizard of Oz and had always loved the movie. Plus, The Madison Theatre is presenting a concert celebrating Arlen’s work on April 23rd and 3pm.
Why should you be excited? Well, I recently found out some astonishing news that I wish to share with you all about Harold Arlen’s birthday. Madison Theatre’s is having a 24 hours only sale that day!!! It is from from 2/15-2/16 from midnight-to-midnight for purchasing any tickets for this tribute for Harold Arlen on 23 April 2017 at 3pm here at Molloy College. I really love his music and I really love sales. Therefore, seeing something cool and exciting with a markdown on it is completely brilliant for me. I think it is a great way to celebrate Harold Arlen’s birthday. Since, it is a tribute to him it makes sense. It is almost like a birthday present to everyone to help toast this inspiring musical genius while sharing the gift of his music live on stage!
